Woodley praises 'masculine' co-star
Shailene Woodley says her Divergent co-star Theo James has a "beautiful soulful heart".
The 22-year-old actress portrays Beatrice 'Tris' Prior in upcoming science fiction release Divergent, which is based on the novel by Veronica Roth.
Shailene shared some passionate on-screen moments with her co-star Theo James, who plays Four, but didn't find them too taxing.
"He's an incredibly masculine man with a beautiful soulful heart – and he was a great kisser," she giggled to People.
Divergent is set in the future and sees Tris attempting to break free from a society which splits people into five factions based on their traits. It is directed by Neil Burger, who was thrilled with how well the two young stars got on.
"I saw it the first time they got in a room together," he explained. "[Their chemistry] plays out as electricity."
Divergent is also an action flick, with Shailene getting stuck into shooting her stunt scenes. She had to jump from a train and film inside a water tank, but is pleased she pushed herself to film the sequences without help.
"I love adrenaline and working hard," she said. "It was intense, but it was also very fun."
One scene saw the 22-year-old star have to scale an 80ft. Ferris wheel. Much as she enjoyed the thrill, the actress has previously admitted she was injured while the cameras were rolling.
"I got to do some crazy stuff. I got really hurt. I have a scar on my chest [and] a scar on my hip, but all good battle wounds," she told E! "It's so much fun! And they'll go away in like five years. The cool thing is I got to do some stunts and that never happens. I feel so cool about it."
