Wu-Tang: Drake collab is incomplete

The Wu-Tang Clan say their song with Drake is being delayed.

According to Cappadonna, his fellow rappers haven’t recorded their verses for the Wu-Tang Forever remix, so it can’t be released yet.

Method Man, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah have yet to contribute, and Inspectah Deck chose not to be part of the song.

"The majority of everybody [recorded their verses], probably minus three," Cappadonna told MTV’s RapFix Live.

"Meth did lay a joint, but then he didn't want to do that one, so he took that off," Cappadonna explained. "But everybody else did it. I don't know if it's gonna be accepted by our peers our whatever, but it sound good to me."

Raekwon previously stated that while he hadn’t yet recorded his verse, he had every intention of doing so. The rapper claimed his schedule was causing problems.

"I ain't get a chance to bust my joint off yet, but I talked to Drake and we're gonna get to it,” he told MTV News last month. “It just was like we were on the road; things were happening so quick. Some brothers were able to go in there and smash out and, unfortunately, I wasn't able to get there yet but it's gonna happen, though.”

Despite these issues, the Wu-Tang Clan have made it clear they’re thrilled to record with younger artists. Twenty years after they dropped their debut record, the group are glad to still be relevant.

"Just to see that happening, 20 years later in my run — on my walk — it's a beautiful thing. I'm not here to judge," Raekwon said. "I'm here to give homage. For me, that's a great thing because that's how I felt about the generation that did it before me."
