X Factor Ale slims for stardom
X Factor cheesy crooner Alejandro Fernandez-Holt has slimmed down by almost four stones before what he hopes will be his starring TV role.
The 17-year-old impressed judges with his rendition of Enrique Iglesias' Hero during his arena audition and drew screams from girls in the audience, but told The Sun he had recently shed a lot of weight.
Alejandro dropped down to 13 stones before his audition and said: "I just wanted to feel more self-confident. I basically watched what I ate, went to the gym, played a lot of rugby and drank a lot of water.
"I didn't do it just for The X Factor - it was more for myself."
The singing hopeful from Burgess Hill, who says he wants to be as big as One Direction, called himself "a single pringle, ready to mingle".
He went on: "I'm really, really excited about the competition but c****ing myself at the same time because it's on TV.
"My mum is worried I will embarrass myself but hopefully, I can continue to impress."
