X Factor stalker case adjourned
The case against a man accused of stalking X Factor winner Joe McElderry's mother has been adjourned.
Ennis McBride, 53, was at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court where he faced a charge of harassing Eileen Joyce between September 11 and Christmas Eve last year.
The case was adjourned for a week, when a trial date will be set. McBride, from Rostrevor Road, Stockport, will not have to attend the next hearing.
Bail, on condition that he does not enter South Tyneside or approach prosecution witnesses, was continued.
McBride denied harassment at an earlier hearing.
Joe won the X Factor in 2009 and has gone on to win ITV's Popstar To Operastar.
