Gillian Anderson has confirmed that she has split from her partner.
The actress - best known for playing special agent Dana Scully on hit TV show The X-Files and its spin-off movies - and boyfriend Mark Griffiths have called time on their romance after dating since 2006, reports Usmagazine.com.
Her spokesperson said: "Gillian Anderson and her partner Mark Griffiths have amicably separated after six years together."
The couple, who never married, have two sons together, five-year-old Oscar and Felix, three.
Gillian, also has a 17-year-old daughter, Piper, from her previous marriage to Canadian TV art director and production designer Clyde Klotz.
