Zac Efron likes to do something "adventurous" on a first date.
The 24-year-old actor dated previously dated his High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens, but is currently single. He finds it hard to be around new people, so tends to suggest unusual activities to break the ice.
"I like to go and do something adventurous," he revealed to chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.
"[Normal] dating is kind of hard… Like dinner or something like that. A forced awkward situation [like that] is very strange. Especially for me for some reason."
Zac stars in racy movie The Paperboy with Nicole Kidman. His role in the thriller includes sex scenes with Oscar-winner Nicole.
Following appearances in teen films such as 17 Again, Zac decided to pursue a project with more depth.
Despite feeling apprehensive at first, he enjoyed filming.
"I've never been so scared in my life, but that moment affirmed this movie was everything I set out to do," he previously explained.
"The love scenes with Nicole Kidman were the highlight of my life. Every scene felt like I was in Moulin Rouge!"
