Zach Braff: UK makes me dorky
Zach Braff feels like a "poor old dork" when he's in England.
The actor comes from New Jersey, but enjoys travelling around the globe for both work and pleasure. Zach has recalled a particular time he visited the UK with his partner, and was made to feel slightly out of place.
"I find it very romantic. I was here for my 35th birthday with my girlfriend and some friends and we had such a great time," he revealed in an interview with the March edition of Elle magazine.
"My girlfriend laughed at me all the time because I was always the tourist with the big map out. She took all these pictures of me as the poor old dork."
Zach also appreciates the female population in the UK. The funnyman wrote and directed All New People - which showed in Broadway last year. The comedy play is now coming to London and Zach is starring in the lead this time round.
The 36-year-old star has described how he felt when British star Carey Mulligan lent her British accent to the script.
"I love British women. Actually, when we did an early reading of All New People, Carey Mulligan read the role of Emma [a British character] for us to hear it all out loud. She was so cute and she filled me in on one or two things in the play that an English woman would never say," he revealed.
"Obviously, I was like, 'Oh my God, please, I need that.'"
