Zach Galifianakis: Fat is funny

Zach Galifianakis

Zach Galifianakis credits his "fat" body as the reason why so many people laugh at him.

The comedy actor stars in The Hangover Part III alongside returning co-stars Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper.

When asked by special Access Hollywood guest correspondent and Hangover co-star Heather Graham why they think they always garner laughs, the three stars were modest about their skills.

"Here's why I'm hilarious. Because, erm, I say things that are ironic sometimes, and yeah," Ed said really slowly, while the others laughed. "I have a very old fashioned, uptight sense of humour so I look at things in the script and I'm like 'That's not funny or appropriate!' And then Todd [Phillips - director] makes me do it because I have no willpower against him for some reason and then I see it on screen and I'm like, 'Yeah, that's pretty funny.'”

"I think my musical talent makes me very funny," Bradley said, while Zach Galifianakis deadpanned: "I'm just fat."

Zach has many impersonators in Las Vegas, and has met two of them. The 43-year-old star enjoyed conversing with one of the comedians.

"Fattius is one of the guys' names. I went down to see him work. He worked a couple of days on the movie. We got to chat. We took a walk together. It was weird," he explained, before Ed looked over and joked: "That makes you very self-absorbed".

Bradley is famed for his impressive torso, and many fans have shared their disappointment that he doesn't get bare-chested in the hotly-anticipated comedy movie.

Ed joked that the hunky Hollywood star's naked upper body does feature in the film though.

"You know, it's not very pretty my chest," before Ed chimed: "You know the part when you see my chest, that's actually Bradley's chest."

The latest instalment of The Hangover is the third and final one. The actors revealed who ended up in tears on the last day of filming.

"I think Todd Phillips cried. I think that there were some glassy eyes," Bradley revealed.

"That's because we hadn't slept in two months," Ed laughingly added.
