Zayn Malik pays no attention to money when it comes to making lavish declarations of love to Perrie Edwards.

The One Direction star proposed to his singer girlfriend at the end of last month, amid all the excitement about the boyband's documentary movie This Is Us.

Perrie is part of group Little Mix and the stars' hectic schedules mean they have little time to spend together.

However, 20-year-old Zayn is said to do everything in his power to make sure Perrie, also 20, feels loved.

"Zayn has been reassuring Perrie how committed he is to her and they're determined to stay strong," an insider told British magazine Star.

Recently it was revealed the couple use webcam programme Skype to stay in touch when they're both busy.

Zayn also makes sure he shows up in person as often as possible.

"Zayn spent £80,000 on a private jet to fly Perrie to New York for just one night. She had to fly straight back the next day but he said it was worth it to spend the night together," the source revealed.

"Zayn has assured Perrie that, when they get some time off next year, he will spare no expense to fly her to wherever he is, or he will come to her. Money is no object to him when it comes to being together."
