Three of Ulster's up and coming stand-ups joined forces yesterday for a lunchtime laugh-in.
First on stage was west Belfast's Ruaidhri Ward.
The scene veteran – supposedly the 'Whinge' – hit the spot with his observation that "dating in your 30s is a bit like shopping in Cash Converters" and a brilliant bit about Northern Ireland murals.
Next up was self-confessed 'Geek' Lorcan McGrane, from Monaghan, who was thrilled to be sampling the delights of the big city – "electricity, workable broadband, women that aren't related to me".
Closing the show was 25-year-old Shane Todd, alias 'the Nordie', from Holywood. Super-smooth, he was straight in with a superb, lengthy and self-deprecating anecdote.
On yesterday's evidence, the future of Ulster comedy is in very safe hands.
