Arts group needs your vote to win the lottery

Something Special is the only group in Northern Ireland to have achieved entry into the Big Lottery’s arts award category.

Based in Eglinton, it provides an alternative approach to daytime opportunities for 80 people with learning disabilities.

Staff member Jennie Bell appealed for people to vote in support of the group.

“Being able to say we have won the arts award will allow us to access other funding and help us raise the profile of the adults who come here,” she said .

“It will show what can be achieved by people with learning disabilities when they are given the opportunities.”

Anyone wishing to vote for Something Special can log on to www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards Achieving Something Special or telephone 08448369670.

Fortunately, you have the necessary resources to bail them out.More
