Culture Night chief's plea for 'novel ideas'

Appeal: Adam Turkington

The organisers of Belfast's annual Culture Night have put out a call for artists, businesses, entrepreneurs and anyone else with novel ideas for this year's celebrations.

Last year more than 250 organisations and individuals got involved in keeping more than 42,000 revellers entertained across the city with music, dance, magic, theatre and much more.

Culture Night manager Adam Turkington said "Our basic question is this: What can you do to positively transform a part of the city and add something to the Culture Night celebrations?

"That's the magic of Culture Night Belfast – it can literally be whatever you want it to be.

"And we can help you realise a space and be part of this madcap and magical evening of exploration and adventure." Culture Night 2014 is on September 19. The deadline for submissions is July 1.
