Dancers to collaborate on theatre production

A Northern Ireland dance company’s artistic director is to perform a collaboration with an international dancer tomorrow.

Steve Batts from Echo Echo in Londonderry will join Shahar Dor at the Waterside Theatre in the city.

The performance will take place at 6pm in Echo Echo's Dance studio. Steve and director of Artness Shahar have worked and performed together periodically since 2000, including projects in Israel with Improbiza and with Bed of Roses in Portadown.

A spokeswoman said: “Both men have a reputation for fearless improvisation so Echo Echo warns audiences to expect the unexpected. Batts and Dor will perform the material in a movement and image-based theatrical piece called Identity Parade.”
