Elena out of the ordinary: Daughter. Black Box, Belfast

‘Landfill’ is no ordinary love song, and Daughter no ordinary rock group.

Variously compared to Enya, Eno, Björk and Joy Division, the London-based trio brought its particular brand of ambient, avant-garde introspection to the Black Box, in the closing concert of this year's Out To Lunch festival.

The focal point is undoubtedly the distinctive voice of singer-guitarist Elena Tonra.
