Based on the Stephen King novella ‘Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption’, this iconic story inspired what's considered by many to be one of the best prison films ever made and has now been turned into a hit play by Owen O’Neill and Dave Johns.

Andy Dufresne’s life changes drastically when he is convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and sentenced to life in Shawshank Prison. There he befriends Ellis Boyd ‘Red' Redding. Together they while away their days, playing chess and dreaming of escape to a warm place with no memory.
