The sound of music, Grand Opera House, Belfast, Until March 20, 7.30pm Thurs & Sat matinees 2.30pm
Belfast is still alive with The Sound of Music as Connie Fisher’s Maria pulls in more crowds.
The star of the BBC talent programme How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? has proved to be an enormous success in the role of nun-turned-governess to a family of seven children after the death of their mother. Lisburn-born Fisher (right) has wowed audiences in the West End, but that’s nothing compared to the reception from the home crowd. She’ll be taking us all to that mountain top for another week, except for Mondays and Thursday matinees, when her co-star, Kirsty Malpass, seizes control of the guitar and the Von Trapp ensemble.
