Patrick pye, ‘at 80’, James Wray & Co, Belfast, Sat, March 13-Tues, March 30



Patrick Pye was born in Winchester in 1929, raised in Dublin and studied at the National College of Art. He travelled extensively in Europe and, heavily influenced by Romanesque Catalan art, finally turned his attention to Christian iconography.

He also studied stained glass and has done many windows in Ireland and England.

Although Pye paints the Christian story, he is more concerned with the experience of life as a whole. Opening times are Monday-Wednesday & Friday 11am-5.30pm. Thursday 11am-8.30pm. Saturday 10am-5pm. LB
