Twitter outrage after Northern Ireland man leaves ex girlfriend alone in labour on One Born Every Minute
The latest episode of One Born Every Minute caused a stir on Twitter this week when a man from Northern Ireland left his ex girlfriend on her own while she was giving birth.
During the episode which aired on Tuesday, Louise from Liverpool was preparing to give birth to her first child at the age of 45.
Her ex partner Dan, who is from NI, appeared in the labour suite but left before their son Zen was born.
His departure from the hospital left many viewers outraged.

I mean what's the point of Dan turning up if he's not going to stay til the baby is born! #oneborn— Kathy (@prettykitty_) April 25, 2017

I'm sorry but how can you not be there when your child is being born!! #OneBorn— Lyndsey Fitzpatrick (@LyndseyFitz) April 25, 2017
Dan did arrive back on the labour ward after his son's birth, later explaining to viewers how the relationship with Louise broke down because of the long distance and the fact they often argued when they did meet up.
At the end of the programme, Dan vowed to be the 'best father that I can be' and said he would travel to Liverpool as often as he could to visit his son.
He added: "I never want the baby to think his daddy doesn't want to be there. He always will be son."
