13/4/2014 PACEMAKER PRESS INTL. FREE USEAGE. MUDDY GOOD FUN: This years McVities Jaffa Cakes Mud Madness sold out in record time as one thousand people scrambled to secure their place to get down and dirty for a great cause and with hopes of smashing last years fundraising total of over £27,000. Competitors came from all over Northern Ireland as well as the Republic of Ireland, England, Scotland and Germany and the US to compete in the wacky race at Foymore Lodge, Portadown. Professional athletes, casual joggers and people who are just a bit bonkers made their way across four and half miles of bogs and ponds, under cargo nets, across monkey bars and over inflatable obstacles all in aid of charity partner Marie Curie Cancer Care. Due to the extraordinary public demand a new McVities Jaffa Cakes Mud Madness event on Sunday September 14. Entries are now open, with 100 early-bird spaces available at www.myraceentries.co.uk/mudmadness. PICTURE ARTHUR ALLISON/PACEMAKER.
