A little Belfast girl who has died at the age of three after a long battle
for survival was described as a "gorgeous child who touched the hearts
of all she knew".
The Northern Ireland Children's Hospice led tributes to Aimeerose Quinn who
died peacefully there on Tuesday afternoon.
The Fortwilliam child suffered from a rare heart and lung condition called
pulmonary hypertension (PH). She also suffered from a hole in her heart,
Down's syndrome and epilepsy.
Aimeerose's parents, Darren and Kelly, were told their first baby would not
survive longer than two weeks after her birth. But the brave youngster
defied expectation and celebrated her 3rd birthday last month.
In a death notice, Aimeerose's grieving mum and dad wrote: "You're the
kind of daughter who makes sunny skies appear. There is always lots of
happiness when you are near."
Mrs Quinn recently spoke to the Belfast Telegraph about the precious time
they had together.
"Every single day is a blessing with her. Every moment we have
together is a bonus to me," she said.
She also paid tribute to the staff of the Children's Hospice for the care of
her daughter.
