Spoilt for choice in Turkey

Thursday, March 06, 2008

Turkish property specialist Spot Blue have just arranged their first Turkish mortgage for a client buying off-plan.

The loan, for software consultant Steve Hardy, 43, will open up the Turkish property market further to UK clients as more British investors will be able to borrow and buy into the country's wonderful coastlines, sunny weather and affordable property.

Julian Walker, of SB, says: "Stephen secured his £70,900 two-bedroom duplex with us at a property show, after which he paid a £2,000 refundable deposit to his lawyer.

"He paid 30% himself and we arranged the final payment of 70% through one of the largest Turkish banks.

"He's one of the first people to obtain finance off-plan."
