Get on our menu: hotel call

Chefs and local food producers from the Londonderry area are being urged to get their goods on the menu at an event at the Beechhill Country House Hotel.

Chefs and local food producers from the Londonderry area are being urged to get their goods on the menu at an event at the Beechhill Country House Hotel.

The hotel is hosting a workshop on Wednesday as part of a project organised by Euro-Toques Ireland, the Irish branch of the European Chefs Organisation.

The Derry event is the latest in a series of five workshops on either side of the border aimed at nurturing partnerships between chefs and local food producers.

Previous events held in counties Monaghan, Leitrim and Louth have been hailed as successful, with 30 local food producers and 50 chefs benefiting from the workshops to date.

At the workshop at the Beechhill Country House Hotel producers will have a chance to showcase their products to chefs in the North-West and North-East area.
