Limavady set for big parade

Up to 2,000 members of the Royal Black Perceptory will converge on Limavady on Saturday.

Up to 2,000 members of the Royal Black Perceptory will converge on Limavady on Saturday.

The annual 'Last Saturday' parade, hosted by City Of Londonderry No.2 District RBP, will include around 32 bands.

The start time of the outward route is 12noon and takes in a number of areas.

These are Church Street, Ballyclose Street, Main Street, Linenhall Street, Catherine Street, Roemill Road, Orange Field near Roemill Gardens.

The start time of the return route is 4pm.

The parade will return across Roemill Road, Roemill Gardens, Irish Green Street, Catherine Street, Linenhall Street, Main Street, Ballyclose Street, Church Street, to board buses on Rathmore Road, Scroggy Road, Killane Road.

In a feeder parade involving two bands in Derry, 200 members of City Of Londonderry No 2 District Royal Black Chapter will earlier parade along Glendermott Road, Clooney Terrace, Spencer Road, Craigavon Bridge, Carlisle Road, Ferryquay Street, The Diamond (clockwise), Bishop Street, Palace Street, Society Street (R.B.P 113, 143 & 237), Bishop Street, The Diamond, Ferryquay Street, Carlisle Road, Craigavon Bridge, Spencer Road, Clooney Terrace, Glendermott Road, Bond Street, May Street.

The proposed return later in the day includes May Street, Bond Street, Glendermott Road, Clooney Terrace, RBP 143 & 237 turn into Union Street to disperse in Glendermott Road, RBP 113 to Spencer Road, Craigavon Bridge, Carlisle Road, Ferryquay Street, The Diamond (clockwise), Bishop Street, Palace Street, Society Street, Disperse at Memorial Hall.
