SPECSAVERS opticians today launched a campaign to spot Northern Ireland's glass-wearers who ooze with "specs-appeal".

The competition is open to all spectacle wearers across the UK and one of the top prizes on offer to the lucky winner is a year's modelling contract with Model Plan.

Eagle-eyed opticians in Specsavers' stores across the province are at the ready to spot potential entrants who may follow in the footsteps of last year's winner Alison Gallagher.

The Belfast girl beat off stiff competition from right across the UK to become the current face of Specsavers publicity campaign.
