A WOMAN has been accused of harassment, after being accused of making more than 1,100 calls to Downtown Radio.

A WOMAN has been accused of harassment, after being accused of making more than 1,100 calls to Downtown Radio.

Jane Rebecca Scarlett of Union Court, in Lurgan, is alleged to have made over 1,124 nuisance calls, Craigavon Magistrates' Court has heard.

During her court appearance, on July 15, she was charged with pursuing a course of conduct, which amounted to harassment of a number of people, between May 11 and 19.

The 33-year-old is also accused of causing annoyance, inconvenience and anxiety to another person, by means of messages, which she knew to be false, between March 11 and May 19.

On a separate date, she was also accused of harassing a man employed at the radio station.

She was released on bail of £50, but Resident Magistrate, Alan White, set down special bail conditions, that she not attempt to contact any member of staff at the Newtownards based station.
