There's another double helping of Club Sandwich at Lavery's Bunker in Belfast this week with a mix of bands and DJs providing all the musical morsels necessary for a well-balanced and cosmopolitan night of entertainment. Saturday's show features west Belfast's Tin Pot Operation, who effortlessly bridge the chasm of indie rock and old-school punk, with a little bit of polotics thrown in just to keep you on your toes.

- On Tuesday night at Auntie Annie's, the Up In The Attic band night continues with a performance by Belfast electronic pop boffins, Clone Quartet, The Smiles and Heathrow Yesterdays. Warrenpoint four-piece Heathrow Yesterdays recently won a battle of the bands competition in their home town, largely due to both their accomplished playing and diversity of their songs which reflects the individual musical tastes of each member. From the opposite end of Northern Ireland come The Smiles, an alternative indie-folk-rock quintet, hailing originally from the north coast and earning comparisons to Mercury Rev and Arcade Fire. The Smiles shone last night at The Limelight when they supported Lisburn band Ego, who sadly played their last-ever show, but The Smiles are destined for bigger things with a new 6-track EP released last month and a pretty full gig diary.

- The weekly Bangor metal-fest continues at the town's Black Boat bar with another evening of long hair, loud music and tasteful leather accessories planned for this Thursday. Overoth are joined by Belfast five-piece Iron Skies and Still Birth, admission is only £3 and doors open at 9.30pm.
