A 53-year-old woman has died following a blaze at her home in Co Fermanagh.

Police confirmed Kathleen Owens died as a result of injuries sustained following the fire in the Kinawley area on Sunday.

A port-mortem is due to be carried out but police have said they are not treating the death as suspicious.

Sinn Fein councillor Barry Doherty said: "I heard the sad news of this tragic death earlier today, the family whom I know, are very well thought of and respected in Kinawley and I hope they take some comfort from the support of their friends and community as they attempt to come to terms with the tragedy that has come their way.

"My thoughts and the whole community's thoughts are with them."
