50 Cent: My $100 underwear for ‘man apples’
50 Cent has explained why his “ergonomically-designed” men’s underwear for FRIGO Revolution Wear is worth $100.
The famed rapper recently landed $78 million to design men’s undergarments for FRIGO Revolution Wear. And he’s now come up with a creative sales pitch explaining why they’re worth so much money.
During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the comical host had asked for a convincing reason for the price tag.
“This $100 underwear were actually hand-created and actually hand-stitched,” 50 Cent said, holding in laughter. “They have a technology in ‘em where you can put your man apples… for you to place your sack in another sack that has been ergonomically-designed for comfort.”
After the pair erupted into giggles, the 39-year-old musician took on a more serious tone. Explaining why his designs can cost an interested customer up to triple digits, he said they were trying to align with the price brackets in the women’s lingerie market.
“But you know, women spend so much money on lingerie, it’s the right project for men,” 50 Cent explained.
The In Da Club hitmaker, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, took to Instagram this week to excitedly reveal the news of his apparel partnership. He was quick to gush about the multi-million dollar value of the venture.
“I just did a deal for $78 million for underwear. What did you muthaf***as do today? Lllllllllooooolllllllllll #Boom #FRIGO (sic),” 50 Cent wrote alongside an image of himself on the social networking platform.
The endorsement and design plan for FRIGO also includes former Yankees baseball captain Derek Jeter, NBA player Carmelo Anthony.
