Adele 'gifted Chanel bags'
Adele has reportedly been sent handbags as an apology from Karl Lagerfeld, after the designer branded her "a little too fat".
The iconic designer came under fire earlier this year when he said the popular British songstress was overweight in an interview with a French magazine.
However, Karl has reportedly sent a peace offering in the form of a collection of exclusive Chanel handbags to make up for his comments.
"Karl has been filming for the new YouTube Chanel TV channel and mentioned his plans to patch things up. He told his team to send Adele the best the fashion house have to offer after hearing she collected bags," a source told British newspaper The Sun.
"He said he really wanted to make it up to her so they could maybe work together in the future. He could see her fronting a campaign for Chanel Mademoiselle bags when the contract with Blake Lively ends.
"He's annoyed with himself because he ended up insulting her when he meant to compliment her. He thinks she's beautiful and calls her divine."
Adele has always championed fuller figures.
"I've never seen magazine covers or music videos and been like, 'I need to look like that to be a success.' I don't want to be some skinny mini with my t*ts out," she said in a recent magazine interview.
