Alexa Chung worked a chic Chanel dress at the design house's 8th annual Tribeca Film Festival Artists’ Dinner on Wednesday.

The British beauty stunned in the chic short sleeveless number which boasted pretty pearl buttons down the front.

Alexa teamed the look with a black clutch bag and cream and black strappy sandals, which highlighted her monochrome theme to perfection.

Alexa finished off the elegant look with a splash of colour - adding a slick of vibrant red lipstick for an ultra dose of glam.

The 29-year-old star kept the rest of her beauty look minimal, with her shoulder-length tresses hanging in loose waves.

Also at the event in New York City was Mad Men star Kiernan Shipka, 13, who impressed in a Chanel outfit.

The teenage actress donned a blue, patterned frock by the high fashion design house. The mini-dress featured the brand's classic checked stitching, while it also boasted accents of monochrome diamond print on the hemline and pockets.

Kiernan teamed the grown-up look with a hot pink Chanel bag and black shoe boots for the occasion.

The actress is making waves in the industry at the moment, after rocking a range of fabulous frocks to a host of events earlier this week.

Also at the 8th annual dinner was model Joan Smalls and actress Taraji P. Henson, who showed off her curves in a form-fitting blue backless dress, which she teamed with metallic heels.
