Alexa Chung for Nails Inc.

Alexa Chung is the new face of Nails Inc. and is collaborating with the brand as well as fronting their new campaign.

The British fashionista is instantly recognisable for her style choices and is a regular on the front row of Fashion Week shows.

To celebrate her cool Brit style, Nails Inc. has snapped up the star to front its line of nail polishes. It coincides with the firm's 15th anniversary and also sees Alexa collaborating on a six-shade collection. The colours will all be fabric-inspired and named after the former model.

June will see customers get a preview of the range when a limited-edition shade called Red Lace goes on sale at nailsinc.com.

In addition to this, the beauty brand is also bringing out a new range of products called Nailkale, also fronted by Alexa. They incorporate a super food base coast that is formulated with the leafy green vegetable.

Alexa shared the news on her social media accounts, tweeting one of the campaign shots. It shows the 30-year-old lying on a floor covered in kale, holding an oversized bottle of the new nail varnish.

Her eyes are heavily rimmed with black kohl, and she gazes into the camera as she holds on to the bottle.

"This is a thing," she captioned the shot.

"That's a normal size bottle. I'm just really small.... (sic)."

Nails Inc. founder Thea Green also announced plans to open its first stand alone store in America. It will be called Paint workshop and will be based on the nail-bar concept Nails Inc. already operates in Britain's famous department store Selfridges.

This is the latest in a long line of collaborations for Alexa. She currently works with make-up brand Eyeko and has also spoken about her desire to bring out a clothing line.
