Alexa: I love quick-fix beauty

Alexa Chung advises people to wash their skin properly every day and to make sure they take off all their make-up.

The British star is no stranger to the world of cosmetics having a signature cat-eye look and range of products with brand Eyeko. She’s a big fan of a speedy and easy approach to make-up, favouring offerings which have multiple benefits.

“Any time-saving, multi-use products are a must,” she told British magazine Closer. “When it comes to my base, I go for Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser – it keeps my skin soft, while giving me plenty of coverage and a dewy glow.

“Always take your make-up off at the end of the day. It’s important to wash skin properly every day, and I use Cetaphil Cleanser to keep my skin pristine – it’s not expensive but it really works.”

Alexa also makes sure to keep her lips hydrated and turns to Lucas’ Paw Paw Ointment to cater to any chapping or flaky skin, revealing she “swears by it”.

She may opt for an affordable product to wash her face, but Alexa invests more when it comes to covering up blemishes. And it’s no surprise, as the model’s complexion always looks flawless thanks to her careful application.

“It’s worth spending a little extra on concealer. When it comes to hiding tired eyes or eye bags from the night before, I always use YSL Touche Éclat – it covers shadows immediately and lasts all day,” she smiled.

It’s a quick-fix routine for her hair too. Dry Shampoo is Alexa’s chosen product for freshening up her locks before hitting the town on a night out.
