Alexandra Roach: Mulberry was magical
Alexandra Roach says the Mulberry Fashion Week party was "magical".
The British actress has risen to fame since starring in the Oscar-nominated movie The Iron Lady alongside Meryl Streep.
Alexandra is embracing her new-found success and was spotted at the Christopher Kane show at London Fashion Week. The star is revelling in the prestigious fashion event.
"My coat is Christopher Kane - I just picked it up yesterday and I love it. I'm wearing a Topshop dress, shoes by Kurt Geiger, and my handbag is Mulberry. I got it at the Mulberry dinner last night; it's lizard I think, and it's the nicest present I've ever been given," she gushed to British newspaper The Telegraph.
"The dinner was wonderful. Lana Del Rey was there and she performed her song for us. It was magical. I was one of only 80 people there so I felt really privileged to have witnessed it."
Alexandra also talked about dressing for the front row. The star has rubbished claims that show attendees should be totally fashion-forward.
"I think you should just wear something you feel comfortable in. It's important to make a statement, but don't kill yourself over it," she smiled.
"You have to make an effort, but not go overboard. I always like to go for a strong lip colour - today I'm wearing MAC lip pencil in Vino."
Alexandra also gave advice on how to survive Fashion Week in general.
"Drink lots of coffee, and be in a chatty mood," she said. "There are so many new people to meet and it's always good to be friendly."
