Alicia Keys: Tisci is always there for me

Alicia Keys has recalled some of the special moments she’s had with Riccardo Tisci and Givenchy.

The American singer has recently been announced as the face of Givenchy’s new scent Dahlia Divin and stars in a stunning campaign for the perfume. Givenchy is helmed by Riccardo, and the designer holds a special place in Alicia’s heart - and her wardrobe.

“We’ve worked together on so many special moments. He did some beautiful looks for me at previous Met Balls. He did a really special one-of-a-kind look for me that I had for the tenth anniversary of my first album. So there are special little monumental moments that we’ve had together,” Alicia gushed to People magazine.

“This year, Givenchy is also sponsoring my Black Ball, which happens on October 30. So there’s a real synergy happening there, and I think Riccardo is just a beautiful human being. I love how he is. He’s fun, very alive, but he’s also very soulful - he’s my style.”

The Black Ball is an annual fundraiser gala for Keep a Child Alive, the charity Alicia co-founded.

As well as charity and music, style is also very important to the 33-year-old.

While she’s currently having to rock maternity wear as she’s pregnant with her second child with husband Swizz Beatz, Alicia still likes to look at the trends set by other music stars.

“I just love people who are boldly and bravely themselves. I think of Gwen Stefani a lot, because she’s always in her own zone. I even like certain things that Rihanna will wear because, again, she’s boldly in her own zone.

“I love Prince for that as a musician - he’s in his own stratosphere,” she added.
