Allison Williams ‘jacked’ by Globes gown

Allison Williams lamented she wasn’t “getting up all night” thanks to her heavy red Armani Privé dress.

The 26-year-old Girls star looked demure in a chic red Armani Privé gown at Sunday’s annual awards ceremony, featuring multiple layers and jewels. But the glamorous look came at a price for Allison, she complained on the night.

“I’m going to be ‘jacked’ after wearing this all night,” she told Page Six.

The elegant layers of sparkling fabric featured a tube top and fell all the way to the ground. The design of the dress was so intricate that it apparently took a very heavy load of material to fabricate.

“I’m not getting up all night. Pick this up!” she told the outlet as she reportedly collapsed into a chair at an after-party.

But Allison’s efforts were awarded with a slew of “best dressed” votes for various media outlets. E! News and the Los Angeles Times were among those to declare she was one of the most fabulously clad of the evening.

While the actress sat in the audience with Lena Dunham, the Girls premiere was taking place on HBO. It was the season premiere, and happened to feature a controversial scene involving Allison’s character Marnie in the throes of romance with co-star Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

And it seems her newscaster father Brian Williams managed to be comfortable with the racy sex scene.

"She's always been an actress," he told entertainment website Vulture. "For us, watching her is the family occupation and everybody has to remember it's acting, no animals were harmed during the filming, and ideally nobody gets hurt."
