Amber Le Bon: Supermodels are fantastic
(Cover) - EN Beauty - Amber Le Bon is inspired by past supermodels and the "bond" they used to have.
Amber is the daughter of model Yasmin and Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon.
She has embarked on her own modelling career and she is in awe of the people who were her mother's contemporaries.
"I obviously look up to my mama a lot, and also the other supers, like Cindy [Crawford], Naomi [Campbell], Helena [Christensen], and Eva [Herzigová]. The bond that they all have, that whole generation of models, is very special," she told Style.com.
The 22-year-old has picked up influences from both her parents and loves style and music.
She enjoys the spontaneity of the fast-paced fashion industry.
"I am currently focusing on modelling but in my free time I play a lot of guitar and piano, and I draw - I generally have a very wide creative streak that I like to entertain," she explained. "I never really know what's coming next work-wise until a few days before because everything is booked and confirmed quite last-minute. I think that's a part of why I like the industry, it keeps you on your toes."
The model uses her creativity to form her own unique style.
Amber likes to mix up different pieces to create something completely original.
"My own style and fashion inspiration is drawn from a whole lot of different places; obviously music is a huge part of it," she revealed. "I get very inspired by different musical genres, like punk and grunge, and I get influenced by old black-and-white films, and old-fashioned eras where corsets and lace were normal. It's a big mix really. Anything I see in life that catches my eye, makes me think, and inspires me."
