Amy Adams: I prefer functional chic

Amy Adams has revealed she strives to look "functional yet chic".

The actress shared her approach to beauty in a behind-the-scenes video taken on the set of her campaign for Lacoste's new fragrance Eau de Lacoste.

The star was announced as the face of the iconic French label last year, following her fast rising status as one of Hollywood's leading A-listers.

"I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard, but at the same time I want to look elegant, feminine and as natural as possible," Amy confessed in the video published on Grazia Daily. "That's really important to me, especially now, since being a mom. I want to look functional yet very chic."

Amy's down to earth attitude to style matches the new Lacoste fragrance's simple, unpretentious scent perfectly.

The pretty redhead also mirrors the fresh and modern aspects of the perfume she is promoting, and opened up about what she believes are the most beautiful qualities a woman can possess.

"I think beauty comes from many sources with women. I think it's important to look beyond make-up and the other sources that women put on and look at a woman to see who they really are. A woman in her natural state is at her most beautiful," Amy continued. "Someone who embodies that confidence of self acceptance is more beautiful than anything."
