Amy Adams on ‘secret’ scent

Amy Adams

Amy Adams loves the way fragrance feels like putting on a "secret" part of you each day.

The actress is the new face of Eau de Lacoste perfume and shared what certain smells mean to her.

The 38-year-old admitted she is a scent connoisseur, which is why her latest role is ideal.

"I love fragrances, I really do. I have a collection. A fragrance is almost like a secret you put on in the morning. Even if no-one else notices it throughout the day, you always know because your senses make you aware of it," Amy gushed to HELLO! magazine. "I love the fact that it's with you all the time. I think a really good fragrance can travel with you and match your different moods and styles."

The red-haired beauty is hot property in Hollywood after establishing herself as a respected and versatile actress.

Not only has she starred in critic-pleasing movies such as The Fighter, but she has a number of other films currently in production including her role as Lois Lane in the new Superman film Man of Steel.

Despite being best known for serious film roles, Amy says she is equally comfortable working as Lacoste's model.

"I grew up with Lacoste and it's a brand I've always admired. It was very cool to get to be 'the face'; it's the only time I've been 'the face' of anything," Amy laughed. "As soon as I smelt the fragrance, I felt very happy to be connected with it. It makes me feel very natural, fresh and authentic. You can wear it with an evening gown or jeans and a T-shirt."
