Amy Adams has been tapped by Lacoste to front their latest scent.

The actress has been signed by the iconic sportswear brand to front the new Eau de Lacoste women's fragrance.

Amy will reportedly be part of a large scale promotional drive online to promote the scent prior to a global in-store launch.

The star joins actor Adrien Brody in being targeted by the French brand for their new campaigns.

Adrien recently starred as Lacoste's new homme boy in their Unconventional Chic spring adverts shot by Craig McDean.

This is the star's latest move to secure her status as a coveted style icon.

Earlier this week Amy made an impact at the Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York City dressed in an ultra glamorous Giorgio Armani dress.

The 38-year-old added some key fashion forward accessories to her dress including Brian Atwood shoes, Lorraine Schwartz earrings and a Christian Louboutin clutch.

Amy has made headlines in the fashion industry steadily over the past few months. At the end of October Amy received the Hollywood Supporting Actress Award at the Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala and stole the show with her elegant attire at the accompanying star studded bash in Beverly Hills.

The mother-of-one has combined her collaboration with Lacoste design house with upcoming high profile movie roles.

Amy is rumoured to be playing the lead in a new Janice Joplin biopic movie.
