Anthony Hopkins' wife 'chooses his garb'
Sir Anthony Hopkins reportedly hesitated in buying a selection of clothes after a solo shopping spree because his wife had to approve his "choices" first.
The Welsh actor was browsing at upmarket store Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills recently. The star had reportedly scoured the men's department for around 90 minutes, before selecting a pile of pieces, worth thousands of dollars.
However, the 74-year-old star reportedly wavered from purchasing the items at the counter, as his wife Stella Arroyave needed to approve his choices first.
He allegedly told the salesman: "No, don't ring anything up just yet. Could you please hold all of it for 24 hours? My wife will be coming by to look at my clothing choices. Sorry, but I just can't buy anything before she gives her approval," a source told the National Enquirer.
Anthony apparently tried on a number of suits, sweaters, shirts, pants and shoes on his spree.
The polite star "thanked" the salesman for his time before promptly leaving the store.
