Ashley Madekwe has always enjoyed using bold make-up to dress up a pair of trainers, which makes her the perfect fit for Reebok and FACE Stockholm's collaboration.

Last week the Revenge star was revealed as the face of a collaboration between sports brand Reebok and FACE Stockholm cosmetics.

While it might seem strange to bring beauty and trainers together, it's something that has always felt natural to the 31-year-old.

"I'm a baby of the 80s and I grew up wearing Reebok classics. Then when I got older, I worked in a sneaker shop," she explained to Teen Vogue. "I would always get dressed for work in a cute way. I would wear my sneakers with a cute dress and a red lip, so the collaboration of kicks and lips made perfect sense to me."

In an image from the campaign, which Ashley shared on Instagram, she rocks a denim-look bikini top with matching hot pants, turquoise sneakers and a nude lip.

For fans keen to get the star's look, she revealed how best to team glam lipstick with sportswear.

"I love a white sneaker paired with a red lip, it's so classic. I think that red lipstick can be a little scary to a lot of girls because it's such a statement. But soon, it just sort of becomes your thing," she assured fellow fashionistas. "I always prefer a bold lip without a lot of other make-up - just nude skin and mascara and then the pop of colour. It really freshens you up."

Ashley is really into fashion and even runs style blog Ring My Bell. While fans rely on it for checking out her latest outfits, the star feels like a bit of an amateur.

“To be honest, I’m probably one of the laziest fashion bloggers out there. I see girls who do it more often and are better at it than I am, and I’m grateful that anyone would take the time to read my blog,” she told People. “[My blog] is just what I’m wearing; I never get dressed up for the blog. So, that sometimes means I don’t want to blog something if I feel I look a bit sh*t that day. It pushes me to wear more interesting things in a way, because I can be known to just wear denim shorts and a black T-shirt for days on end, especially when I’m filming.”
