Ashley Roberts says her great smile is the result of expensive dental work when she was younger.

The former The Pussycat Dolls star is well known for her platinum blonde hair and toned physique, but it's her smile that she rates the most. Her gorgeous grin didn't come cheap though, and Ashley laughs that it's all thanks to her mother that her teeth are so straight.

"I know it sounds cheesy, but my smile," Ashley told British magazine Now when they asked after her favourite feature. "My mom paid a lot of money for these bad boys [her teeth]."

While Ashley is a firm follower of a healthy diet and lots of exercise, she's not been immune from health scares.

The 32-year-old star has undergone surgery in the past for the removal of cancerous cells, which left her bed bound and unable to work.

"I had pre-cancerous cells in my cervix several times. One time I had an operation to get them removed but I didn't heal properly and ended up in hospital for two days. It took out all my energy and I ended up missing Pussycat Doll shows. I now get myself checked every six months," she revealed.

While Ashley's slim figure may be the envy of others she actually looks towards Jennifer Aniston for body inspiration.

"Jennifer Aniston always looks mint - she's got great muscle and tone. I like people who have good, strong bodies and aren't just skinny. As for guys, I saw David Beckham in LA and I think he's even hotter in person. I was like damn!" she laughed.
