Aubrey Plaza: I'm all about the pirate
Aubrey Plaza is drawn to French designers.
The 30-year-old beauty graces the cover of Nylon magazine's September issue, where she is seen wearing a fluffy pink top underneath a black leather jacket and posing with her finger on her lip looking thoughtful.
In a behind-the-scenes video to accompany the photoshoot, Aubrey tells viewers what others make of her dress sense.
"My friend yesterday was like, 'You have a really interesting style, it's like a mixture between Johnny Depp and Ellen DeGeneres.' I'm like pirate chic," she grinned to the camera. "I have so many favourite designers, I kind of like Frenchie, like Isabel Marant and stuff. Wild Fox and Rachel Antonoff's clothes I'm really into right now."
In the clip Aubrey dons an array of glamorous outfits, such as a low-cut red dress and a leather-look two piece. While she enjoyed featuring in the magazine, the brunette beauty was a little freaked out by the setting of the shoot.
"The photoshoot we did today was I believe in a haunted house, a beautiful Old Hollywood style haunted house and I have to say I think the bathroom was haunted," she sighed. "At least I thought that when I was in there going to the bathroom."
During her interview with Nylon, Aubrey talked about the process of choosing her acting roles. She is best known for playing April Ludgate on hit TV series Parks and Recreation, where she stars alongside Chris Pratt and Amy Poehler.
"The female love interest is boring to me," Aubrey insisted. "A female that’s interesting, smart, funny – that’s what I’m drawn to. I wouldn’t say that every character has to be smart, but she has to have one trait I can relate to.”
