Our reporter Cate McCurry checks out the style at Victoria Square in Belfast.

Jill Wallace (29), beauty therapist, Florencecourt:

Wore what? Boots, Carmella, Christmas present; hat, £30, coat, £80, jeans, £40, scarf, £25, all Zara; bag, £350, Michael Kors.

Why? I would say my style is quite individual, but I like to dress up.

Who? I love Rita Ora because she wears loads of different stuff and she can pull off any look. Victoria Beckham is great, too.

Emma Martin (19), student, Carryduff

Wore what? Jeans, £42, Topshop; boots, £25, H&M; top, £12.99, H&M; leather jacket, £39.99, New Look, fur scarf was taken off another coat; bag, £24.99, New Look; hat, £3, Primark.

Why? I never really stay to one particular style, I like to try out a few different things.

Who? I like Pinterest and Instagram when looking for inspiration for clothes. I don’t really follow celebrities.

Megan Campbell (19), tax worker, Ballymena

Wore what? Coat, £40, Primark; scarf, £20, New Look; top, £8, New Look; shoes, £3, Primark; handbag, £35, River Island.

Why? I would say my style is comfy and town-like. I don’t like Kanye West and how he dresses.

Who? I love Gok Wan and how he styles people because he is very on trend and good at experimenting.

Kerri Moore (22), receptionist, Belfast

Wore what? Coat, £45, River Island; scarf, £20, Zara; leggings, £15, Topshop; shoes, £8, Forever 21; top, £19.99, Zara; Bag, £150, Michael Kors.

Why? My clothes are quite plain. I’m not into bright colours, just nudes and naturals. I like going for something different so I like shopping in Zara and Topshop and finding individual-looking things.

Who? I like how Sienna Millar takes a simple outfit and turns it into something very stylish. I wear a lot of nude and black like her.

Stephanie Scott (19), student, Carryduff

Wore what? Coat, Christmas present, Very.co.uk; boots, £35, Public Desire; bag, £50, Michael Korrs; top, £6, Primark.

Why? I don’t like how people from Geordie Shore dress, I prefer more classy clothes.

Who? Michelle Keegan because I love her style and how she puts together different looks.

Kerri Martin (17), student, Magherafelt

Wore what? Coat, £25, top, £15, both River Island; skirt, £35,

Exhibit; boots, £35, River Island.

Why? I like dressing up as much as being casual. I also like to feel comfortable in my clothes.

Who? Millie Mackintosh — I love how she dresses.

Linda Beacom (28), boutique owner, Fivemiletown

Wore what? Hat, £49.99, Jigsaw; top, £70, skirt, £75, both from her own shop Queen Bee; boots, £80, Moda in Pelle; bag, £300, Michael Kors.

Why? My style is quite dressy and classy and, as you can see, I like wearing clothes from my shop.
