Bethenny Frankel promotes 'lazy lingerie' line
Bethenny Frankel says her new shapewear line is "lazy lingerie", as you can "already be sexy" in it for a date.
The star recently launched her Skinnygirl Smoothers n' Shapers. Bethenny is thrilled with the outcome of her undergarment range and claims despite its practical functionality, it is very appealing underwear.
"The problem with shapewear is that it's not something you want people to see. But this is something you actually want people to see," she told People.
"It's lazy lingerie. You're wearing it now, and if you take your clothes off, you're already sexy for your husband or your boyfriend or for a date."
The shapewear recently hit Macy's stories and includes boy shorts, camis, lingerie-inspired slips, briefs and clothing that smooth and flatter. Bethenny says the pieces don't have to be completely covered by outerwear.
"I wear mine under a blazer, under a cardigan, under a sexy dress sometimes for the summer, with a little peeking out the top," she said. "It makes me feel more sexy even just having it on underneath my clothes I feel a little more feminine."
Bethenny used friends and colleagues to model her Skinnygirl Smoothers n' Shapers in the new campaign. The 41-year-old star wanted to fill a gap in the market.
"Fans ask for larger cup sizes, different cup sizes, comfort, price," she explained.
"One size does not fit all. We have one item that you can wear with your own bra, because some women are larger breasted or just attached to their own bras. There are classics, and there are the more 'wow' moments, but all of it is priced for every woman."
