Beyoncé 'in full control of brand'
Ty Hunter praises Beyoncé Knowles for being in "full control" of her empire.
The 33-year-old singer wrapped up her On The Run Tour with husband Jay Z earlier this month, putting on their final performance in Paris on September 13. Fans were not only treated to energetic performances but also a range of stunning costumes worn by the songstress.
Long-time stylist Ty Hunter joined Beyoncé on the road and made sure every design stayed true to the star's personal style.
"Yeah, she’ll wear Topshop with Louboutins and she’s OK with that. That’s what makes her who she is," Ty told style.com.
"Still to this day, I’m just in awe. She’s an amazing woman and an amazing person. I’ve been with her for so long, and each time she surprises me. She’s OK playing around and taking risks, and that’s what makes my job so much easier. The reason why I also love her is that she’s not just a person you can throw something on. She’s in full control of her brand."
There have been many claims in the past about the star's 'diva' behaviour, but Ty insists that isn't the case at all. Rather than setting rules Beyoncé instead puts her faith in her trustworthy entourage to tend to her appearance.
Ty has joined her at dozens of A-list events in the past; helping hold her gowns as she walks down the red carpet.
"She’s really down-to-earth. A lot of people think that these iconic women are supposed to be these bitches or be a certain way, and she is not. She allows her team to be creative and she’s very loyal," Ty added. "I’ve been with her for 15 years. She’s just a Southern girl. We’re from the South, and a lot of times people will meet us and have to apologise because they expect me to be a certain way since I work for an iconic pop star. We’re not that at all."
