Beyonce Knowles chose Inauguration nail colour
Beyoncé Knowles told her manicurist she wanted orange nails for the 2013 US Presidential Inauguration.
The singer wowed when she appeared on stage to belt out the American national anthem as part of Barack Obama's official signing in ceremony on Monday.
Her manicurist Lisa Logan divulged the details about the unconventional hot orange polish, which was a shade by NCLA called I'm With The Band.
"When Beyoncé walked in, she just plainly said, 'I want orange.' So orange it was!" Lisa shared on her Twitter page. "I'm so proud to have been part of this #inaugural event for the second time with @baddiebey. The first time she wore #Minxnails (sic)."
The songstress opted to avoid the patriotic clichés of red, white or blue nails that other stars have followed. The neon hue was perfect for her performance as it accentuated Beyoncé's bronzed skin and her 80-carat emerald green Lorraine Schwartz jewelled earrings.
As well as flaunting a fabulous mani, the Destiny's Child star showed off a long and loose wavy hair style. The stunning caramel-coloured curls came courtesy of her colourist Rita Hazan.
Beyoncé dazzled with her choice of old-Hollywood style in a glittering black Emilio Pucci floor length gown which was embellished with a sparkling swirling floral pattern and matching Christian Dior heels.
Other stylish stars in attendance included Katy Perry who sported a miniature version of Aretha Franklin's famous 2009 headpiece to the ceremony.
The 28-year-old singer looked super chic in an orange and black striped Rodarte coat featuring shearling lapels and a belted waist, accessorised with a black hat, black sunglasses and a gorgeous Christian Louboutin bag.
Kelly Clarkson attended the event with her fiancé Brandon Blackstock and took to her Twitter account to share details of her strapless elaborate floral orange coloured gown.
"Me and Brandon in our "fancy" attire :) Fun night!" Kelly tweeted.
"My dress barely fit in the car for tonight's festivities. I feel like Cinderella! Thank you Oscar De La Renta! (sic)"
