Beyonce's stylist: 'Her style is not just high end'
Beyonce is happy to wear new brands she has never heard of as long as she looks good.
Beyonce doesn't mind how expensive her clothes are as long as she looks hot.
The pop superstar's style has evolved over the years, and she gets to cherry pick her red carpet and onstage ensembles from the best designers in the world, but long-term stylist Ty Hunter reveals the 34-year-old fashion-forward singer isn't afraid to experiment with up and coming labels.
"When I’m walking down the street and I see something cute in a window, I’m going to check it out," he explained to the Huffington Post. "I’ve found a lot of young designers that way, as well. That’s the thing about Beyonce. She’s not just about high end. She’s OK with trying new things. It doesn’t matter if it’s high end or low end; it just has to look hot."
Ty has worked with the Single Ladies singer for many years, including her Destiny's Child days when she wore co-ordinating ensembles with bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
He knows for a fact confidence is all it takes to make an outfit look good, as opposed to the clothes themselves.
"It’s how to carry yourself," he continued. "I think a woman can wear a tank top and jeans and be sexy. It’s how you feel internally. I can put something risque on Beyonce, Kelly, or Michelle, and it still looks classy. Then, I can put the same thing on someone else, and it looks tasteless. Your confidence makes the clothes read a certain way."
As for any advice he could offer to the singer's fans when it comes to channelling their inner Sasha Fierce - Beyonce's alter-ego - Ty insists it all comes from within.
"You have to love yourself, it’s not clothes," he said. "Fashion doesn’t make a person. You weren’t born with an outfit on. It’s important to feel beautiful internally first. Once you get to that place, you can wear anything."
