Blake Lively: I want a fashion line
Blake Lively wants to learn how to knit before the arrival of her and Ryan Reynolds' first child.
The 27-year-old actress is currently expecting her first child with her husband Ryan Reynolds and has been rocking a gorgeous maternity style since unveiling her baby bump. To keep busy during her pregnancy Blake has her website Preserve, where she writes about everything from cooking to clothes.
All the garments featured online are available to purchase and it’s left Blake open to the idea of creating her own pieces.
"I've never used a stylist because I love it too much. It's such an expression of me,” she shared to Martha Stewart during the businesswoman’s American Made Summit in New York this weekend.
"I would love to [design] when I can find 28 hours in my day. But I'm hoping to do some exclusive things in the future."
Blake has gorgeous hubby Ryan on hand to help with her growing company. With lots of different lifestyle posts, the blonde beauty has noticed her spouse has taken a great interest in the venture.
"He is probably more [involved] than he wants to be but what's important about Preserve is it's not just about females. It's about families," Blake added. "It's not just female specific. I love shopping for him as much as I love shopping for myself as well as I love creating meals for him."
Blake, who wore a Michael Kors knit shirt and skirt for the chat, appears to be well prepared for the arrival of her baby. But there’s one area which she needs to work on.
"I have to learn to knit. I started but I only know how to knit a straight track," she laughed. "Which doesn't really get you too far. That's where the hot glue comes in to shape it into booties, but nobody wants to wear hot-glue booties."
