Blake Lively in awe of Kors
Blake Lively sat front row at Michael Kors' New York Fashion Week show yesterday and said she admires his work both as a fan and a friend.
The beautiful actress was sitting front row at the designer's New York Fashion Week show yesterday and was keen to show her support.
She was joined by Freida Pinto, Michael Douglas and Rose Byrne to view his Fall/Winter 14 collection. US Vogue editor Anna Wintour was also present, to give the deigns her fashion seal of approval.
"I am both a fan and a friend. I started as a fan, and I became a friend, but I will be a fan always," Blake gushed to fashionista.com.
The former Gossip Girl star looked stunning in a tailored look. Her belted short-sleeved jacket had a plunging neckline which worked perfectly with her mid length dress. Her nude Christian Louboutin shoes finished off her demure look.
The new collection emphasised women's silhouettes, with chiffon and lace giving the clothes a sensual feel.
"He has such iconic shapes, and when you look at a Michael Kors woman, she's fully realised. There's nothing trite or young about her, she's got her fingers on the pulse of fashion, but it doesn't seem trendy, it seems timeless," Blake said.
Blake, 26, is no stranger to modelling and has had big name campaigns with Gucci and Chanel.
She's a keen follower of fashion and has previously stated that she doesn't let past style faux pas faze her.
"I think that if you believe that you can't make a mistake as long as you feel good in it, then you have a sort of freedom. You're never going to have 100 per cent of the people loving what you wore - you're always going to have people split on it," she said.
"So as long as you look back and you said, 'I felt really proud to wear that that night - I felt really good about myself,' then that's all that really matters."
